I hear you. BSG was my rebound from SV. IS MY LUCK GOOD OR WHAT??!

I just have to either turn off my brain for the rest of my fannish life or just give up all together. I can't decide which.

It's SO BAD. I just... I keep losing all power of speech in the face of the OVERWHELMING DREADFUL.

You can be thankful you stopped watching SV though... really.

And hey, Morgana icon! I adore her. *happy sigh* Pity I find the show terrible though... I feel like I am destined to unhappiness in Merlin fandom due to my Out of Control CRAZY love for Morgana. That can't end well...

I have no expectations of Merlin except to be entertained. And that Morgana will be smokin' hot and smolder all dark magically and crazycakes and will have inappropriate UST with Uther.

And that Merlin will never learn. And that IT MIGHT BE CAUSED BY SOMETHING MAGICAL! Once the unicorns show up, it can only be filled with SPARKLES.

Hee. It's lucky you don't have expectations. I do. I want Merlin to be showed up for the stupid little squirt he is, and Morgana acknowledged for the amazing compassionate leader she has the potential to be. HAAAA. I didn't want to end up wanting that, but Merlin annoyed me SO much, and Morgana delighted me SO much, and... *helpless*

This is the first time ever (and that's saying a lot considering the many tempting moments in the course of 7 years) that I feel like I'm forced to reject a huge chunk of canon if I ever want to be able to read future fics (my favorite kind) again or watch Clex/Clois vids without the bitter taste in my mouth.

It's unbelievable. I thought I could withstand anything! I mean it's not like the show hasn't had its lows before now.

I too have been thinking that humour is the only way to deal with this ... supacat tried to cheer me up with humorous icons, but... I think I need to write out my reasons why it WAS such a perversion of Smallville's vision first, and THEN reach the humour.

And with my other show, I'm already the other side of having done that, and finding it hard to find ANY humour. So I'm not betting this method will be all that successful. Everything tastes like ashes.

I'm sorry that both your shows are going down the drain. And I totally understand about SV. After "Requiem", I almost did cry ... I was just so choked up and horrified. :(

Yeah, it was HORRIBLE. In the true 'horror' sense of the word. I think I do need to write it out of my system, but it's painful to go back over it. :( *hugs back*

Oh, dear. Sorry Smallville has bummed you out--I'm kinda bummed out vicariously by seeing the rage on my friendslist, but since I never had any high hopes for the show's plots or character arcs, I'm a bit detached from it all.

If you're not in the right headspace to do the beta, I totally understand. As long as there's nothing egregiously wrong with the vid, I'm totally fine with throwing it up as-is. You know me, I'm no perfectionist. :)
