I saw a documentary about this new movie and it had the main writer for Star Trek and at one point he looked at the camera and said something to the effect that "I don't care what you believe is wrong with the movie cause everything is %100 accurate." And he is a big fat white guy complete with beard and glasses so he must know a thing or two about these things. Ha ha!

100% accuracy is a tall order, you know! I'd say Star Trek isn't even 100% accurate unto itself, but some things you can explain away, yet others are more complicated.

All things considered, I'm a moderate nerd, worth his weight in gold-pressed latinum, and I can say this movie gets its' facts, but not necessarily its' facts straight.
