AAAAH That's cruel! That's like... asking a child if they love mom or dad more (OK bad comparison)... or asking someone which one of their kids they love more (OK bad comparison again)... WHY MUST YOU DO THAT TO ME
( ... )
Faith's narrations are definitely weird. I'm wondering what's going to happen with that...it definitely seems like, in a twisted way, she can't actually forgive herself, so she feels like she can maybe first learn to forgive him. Which maybe she shouldn't, but you know.
I love them both, but still love Buffy more, because I relate more to her.
But I used to like Faith more during season 3 when I first watched it, because they were making a good girl/bad girl contrast which annoyed me, and even though my personality and experiences aren't like Faith's, I have a thing for fictional characters who are emotionally screwed up and morally ambiguous. But then in later seasons Buffy wasn't on the pedestal like that anymore and we got to see her own screwedupedness and she became possibly my favorite character ever.
Speaking of which, I've just rewatched Faith, Hope and Trick (review should be coming up tomorrow) and it reminded me of one of things that annoyed me the most about this season: Buffy starting to dress like a soccer mom. I HATED all the stuff she wore in this episode, and IIRC it continues throughout the season. Why would she change her style like that, except to make for a bigger contrast to Faith?
Anya. I liked her since season 4, she was the funniest character on the show and I tend to like character who are "learning how to be human". I know that the show should have treated her crimes more seriously, but I still like her - and I'm glad they finally did in "Selfless".
I was rather indifferent to Tara until season 6. She was nice and shy and in love with Willow... and that was pretty much it, I didn't see much personality in her until season 6 when she broke up with Willow and she started interacting more with Buffy and the others. I loved her non-judgmental attitude.
