AAAAH That's cruel! That's like... asking a child if they love mom or dad more (OK bad comparison)... or asking someone which one of their kids they love more (OK bad comparison again)... WHY MUST YOU DO THAT TO ME? ;)
Hm... I really don't know, it depends on how I'm feeling at the moment? Or which episode/scene/moment?
Maybe if I could answer specific questions, like "Who would you like to have with you right now?" (that would be Spike) ;)
I'm kind of in love with Spike, but Buffy is the character I relate to the most in the verse. So, I suppose, I'm picking Buffy.
Also, if I use the question "which character I'd rather see a story centered on", the answer is Buffy, because a Buffy story without Spike can be really good and interesting as we all know, but we haven't yet seen evidence of the opposite - which may be due to the fact that most of the comics based on him were produced by IDW. But even the Magical Mystery Tour web comic, while nice and charming, was fluffy, and the only part I really loved were the panels with the Buffy/Spike interaction. Sometimes I'm not sure if the writers know what interesting things they can still do with Spike, now that he has a soul and there's no ambiguity if he's good or bad, except when he's interacting with Buffy (arguably his interactions with Angel can serve the same purpose, but for every great Spike episode in season 5 of AtS there were two-three where they were making him a wacky sidekick or dumb or they were making them both into a comic duo). Maybe it will be different if he gets to interact with Drusilla again.
