Aw, I didn't do much--you picked up the ball and ran with it! You have poetry and pilots coursing through your veins!
I'm just so blissed out with the finished product. Different ines from it were running through my mind all day! Hehe. I look forward to even more brilliance from you, I'm positively giddy that your brain is teeming with ideas. Once your semester's done, we should have a serious hybrid-mindmeld poetry rap session.
And hey, you should post this to a BSG community! Until, that is, our BSG crackpoetry comm comes into being. :D
Oh, good idea--I'll cross-post to some comm's. And I so there for the hybrid mind-meld; only one more week to go!!!
Until then, a little drabble gift for you (this popped into my head mid-way through one of my papers, due on Monday of course--ack):
Had we but world enough, and time, This coyness, Kara, were no crime. We would sit down and think which way To eye-frak through each endless day; Thou as Samuel T. Anders bride Shouldst respite find; I by the side Of Dualla would complain. I would Love you more than a good CAG should; And you could, you brat, remain withdrawn Till the end of all the Cylons. My angsty pining love should grow Vaster than colonies, and more slow.
Why tattoo-ed? gone insane? Out the airlock was thy brain? HAHAHAHAHAHA. *clutches sides* I tried to keep a straight face while reading this but these lines broke me! That could not be more funny or more evocative of Lee having a WTFOMGBBQ?! response to 'Why with Anders?!' And yes, Kara, that is a valid question. *glares at her*

Flaily time!
I looooove your crackpoetry! And I don't CARE who FRAKKIN' knows!
Eee, so hard to choose favorite lines! But I'm terribly fond of this stanza:
In what heated arms or thighs
Burnt the fire of Lee's cries?
In what joy dare he sing out?
Or call for you to join his shout?
Oh. Ablaze with feverish Blakeish energy and yet so sad!
And perhaps the most cutting lines of all:
What hasty marriage to some guy
Dare tame thy fearless pilot-ry?
Hahaha!
I should probably feel horribly guilty but I can't because I'm too gleeful.
I am bad, bad, but the result is so, so good. Astounding! Thank you!
*hugs your genius*
Hooray!

Oh, thank you!!! That's the best compliment a crackwriting imitator could get!
No need to feel guilty for loving those lines--Sam will have his day too. And in the meantime, YAY FOR PILOTS! Lovely, angsty, hot pilots!
*hugs back* I couldn't have done it without your inspiration and fabulous feedback :)

Anyway, I loved the twined lines:
What beloved kiss or sigh
Could tame thy fearless pilot-ry?
What hasty marriage to some guy
Dare tame thy fearless pilot-ry?
Just the word "pilot-ry" had me rolling. Really great job!

And I'm so glad you loved the "pilot-ry" lines :) Thanks for reading!
