Jasmine came back from the boarding place healthy and happy... and fat. They overfed my baby! ;_; She's going to be moody now that I have to put her on a diet. Unless I can find some food that's not very rich, and that she'll actually eat.

Poor kitty! But good for you for being a responsible pet owner. Every once and a while there's a story in the news here about how pets are as obese as their owners.

Heh! Does that mean I have to gain weight? I was on a slight diet while on vacation, due to a combination of meals being expensive and my guest having a small appetite.

Actually, I weighed Jasmine just now, and despite her noticeable paunch, she doesn't seem to have gained any weight. It still can't be good for her, though.

Poor Jasmine... I'm sure she'll be upset (leaving the "good life" for a healthy one is tough, I say!) but it's for her own good... yeah, convincing PEOPLE of that is hard enough. Still, try to think of cases like this one and I'm sure the task of making that paunch disappear will seem A LOT easier ;)

And for some reason, I'm not surprised your guest has a small appetite (many guys like myself, on the other hand, like to stuff ourselves to the point of having problems to walk ;P)

Heh! That's quite the large cat! Yeah, I'm trying to keep Jasmine from getting to be that size. It's unhealthy and it's bad for her joints. She's going to complain for a while (she had me up at 6am to feed her) but I'll be cutting down her food intake and hoping that helps.

I, too, generally stuffed myself as I was growing up. (: I'm a bit better for that now that I live on my own, but I still eat more than I should. Dining out with Asteria was an exercise in temperance, and it was cheaper too, since we could oftentimes share a meal, instead of getting one for each of us, and still be satisfied. (:
