YES IRON MAN. I'VE WATCHED IT TWICE. Next week I'm dragging my best friend and another really good friend to watch it because it's awesome. HOW DID I NOT KNOW HOW AWESOME ROBERT DOWNEY JR IS? JUST. alskfdj;lasfkds I really love how they handled things with Pepper Pott and the end where she was all "and then you went to get me a drink . . . and left me there alone. Is that what you're talking about?" and there's an awkward silence. AND HIS LAST WORDS BEFORE THE CREDIT. Ahahaha.

This is my favorite kind of superhero, with lots of flaws (that he admits to on LIVE TV aslf;asldf) and geeking out and trying to look really cool, but ultimately being the biggest dork ever. Do you know if there's Stark/Rhodes fic? I'm curious, but it's been so long since I read the comic (read: middle school, and thus mostly forgotten) that I'm afraid to wade my way into fandom.

THE ROBOTS. THE SUIT. FLYING INTO THE CEILING AND LATER CRUSHING HIS CAR. RAMPANT ALCOHOLISM. I could go on and on about the things I love about htis movie.

And yes, absolutely! I'm bringing my books like the geeky person I am. I'm so excited to finally get to talk about it with other fannish people. My best friend still hasn't made it past something like book three, because I went to Japan and hadn't realized she hadn't borrowed everything I had of it yet, and then she got busy with school when I got back. Now that she's going off to work at a summer camp, however, I'm sure I can pin her down and give her more. I'm sending out two boxes with the first few books to lure other friends in.

just. what an amazing character. And Rhodes is awesome, i can't possibly see how there is not a slash fandom exploding with glee over those two.

I have been to movies where the music was fucked up (the soundsystem fucked up, if you will) or the screen isn't right or whatever and stuck through it, but I actually got up and exchanged my ticket for Iron Man when I was five minutes into it because I couldn't stand how the theatre was failing at life, and it would not be allowed to ruin my Iron Man experiment.

I got goosebumps when he ran the diagnostic before flight and all the plates shift basically like an angel's wingfeathers (shutup) and I UNDERSTAND ABOUT RDJR BEING SO HOT IT'S RIDICULOUS HOW? and then Jarvis and and and Pepper and the MySpace and the stripper pole and the pictures on the cell phones/ring tones and.

I'll stop. For a bit.
