but after you finish the series, here is my all-time favorite Hikaru no Go story. It's called Balance by Sailor Mac. It's a story of how Akira and Hikaru got together and so on. A BEAUTIFUL story. I have a hard copy for whenever I'm away from my computer and just wanted to read outside.

As far as fic recs, I recommend going to shinra_lackey's journal, going to her memories and combing through her recs. She has a lot of good stuff on there. rageprufrock has some good stuff. Her 19x19 fic thing (a collection of one-shot Hikago AUs) is good, but Inertia (wherein Akira gets married and things just aren't quite working) is better. Make sure to hit Go-Luv. I have, of course, written a bit of Hikago stuff (and a lot of drabbles which can be found in a single post in my memories). quillofferings's Aishuu has a bunch of great ones. "Brightly Burning" is the one that I keep coming back to reread, though. However, I would wait a while to read it because it has a lot of spoilery stuff. "Lessons in ( ... )
