Actually, most of our customers were pretty nice this Christmas Eve, all rather 'Oh, duhh, aren't I silly for leaving it so late.'  Did get one lone slice of fried gold though:

Mr Man:  Hello, I am looking for Book X.

Me:  Umm..  oh, I'm sorry sir.  We don't have that in today, but we do have 5 on order.

I think I had your grumpy arse's sister for a customer. "The parking at (the store that actually has a copy of the book she claimed she needed so desperately) is terrible! I'm not going to go there!" Oh well, guess you didn't need that present that badly after all, did you?

At least he didn't demand you call your competition and ask them for his book; I get that a fair ammount . . .
