I've had people get teary-eyed when asking for books about coping with divorce, suicide, or cancer. I feel bad for them, and I never know what to say.

Oh yes, me too. And the worst one is books about readings for funerals.

Miscarriages. Don't forget the people who come in looking for books on coping with miscarriages. Or who come in to return pregnancy/parenting books because they just miscarried. God, those people just about make me cry.
