I love my new place

So I am settling in to my new place, and I have to say, that despite the "renters" feel, like the carpet, and the door trim, and the outdated kitchen, I just love it ( Read more... )

Glad you love your new place - and your neighbors, too! Mine are kind of ... um ... creepy.

Han's comment was incredibly sweet. :c)

No details of the date for those of us in LJ land?!?! No fair...

I'm a J too - and love things done and decided too! But, I'm an INFJ - a weird touchy/feely/intuit-it judgey person... I can hardly believe we're both "I" though... Most people would guess we're both 'E'...

Our radiators have no covers - I wonder if they're hard to make/come-by. Hrm... Thanks for the idea!

I can tell I'm an "I" by the fact that despite my good intentions and serious effort into meeting people and talking with them at Ert's Betrothal on Saturday, I ended up on the sofa with 3 little kids on my lap drawing in a workbook. Really - I wasn't aiming for it! (But yes, I did love it :-) )

The radiator covers are cool. I used to have some that completely covered the radiator - like encased in a wood frame with metal "screening". (see the after on this page: http://www.monarchrad.com/

The new ones are just a cap that goes down like 3 inches per side. Much smaller and take less space, but I can put stuff on top of them. (I know I'll have to move stuff in winter, but looks good for now!)

Wow, cool... Hey, can kids get burned by radiators without covers?! I mean... I've never touched one, so I have no idea - I just sort of stayed away from them when I was in college... & now I feel stupid. I mean, if Dante rubs up against the radiator, will he be injured?

Depends if they are steam or hot water. Hot water - not really. It will be hot, but I don't think he will get any serious burns (Han never did). I don't know what they really get up to, but at my old place, I found them to get uncomfortable, but that's it.

Steam is a different story. Yes, he could get burned on steam ones. Much hotter (duh...) Steam are the loud knocking ones too.
