Damn, only ups and downs for our boys ! I kinda understan Ennis ... and not: to me it seems he gives up to easy, and he lies to himself that he will be able to live without Jack, and be happy when he'll find somebody else ?! Yeah, right !.... Jack's heart will brake ....

Ya need to talk to Ennis like right now and tell him what he is thinking about doing aint' gonna fly. Not now, not ever. He might think he is doing the right thing, but leaving Jack is not the right thing to do. He needs to stay by his side and protect him. Ennis needs to talk to Jack about what happened instead of running away. No, no, no.

I confess I'm a bit puzzled at hockey!Ennis' cyclical nature. How is he able to challenge Jack to come out alongside him in such a confident tone in the previous chapter only to think about abandoning him (yet again) in the next chapter? Darn his twice trod paths!

I do like Ennis' protective feelings towards Jack, his desire to ensure his physical safety. I was hoping by now, in light of his progress, that he would be channeling that desire into somewhat more productive avenues, like tracking down that bastard who posted the threatening missive and beating the shit out of him as an example! :)

Hi everyone--

Ennis is one mixed up dude! He drives me crazy. Just when you think he's going to be okay-- dang, he slips again. But thank you for all your comments--and soon, something's going to happen that...well...let's just say something happens. Can't say if it's good or bad, but it's a turning point. How's that for suspense? (I can say though that the chap should be up in the next day or two-- just needs beta'ing.)

i was afraid that something like this is going to happen...
the world of pro-sports is a cruel place for boys in love. i really hope they're going to talk about this and find a way to figure something out.
