We're having a. . . BOY!!!

I had my second appointment with my midwife yesterday, and everything went great! My BP was completely normal (it was high my entire first pregnancy and at my first appointment this time.) The baby was measuring exactly on target, and we got to hear the heartbeat loud and clear ( Read more... )

I haven't said much on here lately. We were waiting for awhile to tell a lot of people, but things have been going well so. . .I'm pregnant again. So far things have been completely different from my last pregnancy and much more like they were with Rose. I think one of the hardest things about miscarriage is that I don't have anything to remember him by.  I don't have any pictures or an ultrasound.  I lost him so early that I didn't even get the closure of a service to just spend time focusing on him ( Read more... )

I lost my baby.  I started spotting last night, and then by about 5:00 this morning the bleeding was getting heavier and bright red.  I went to the emergency room.  They did an ultrasound and said there was no evidence of pregnancy, and my blood levels were very low (like I was 2-3 weeks instead of 16.)  The doctor said that he's pretty sure ( Read more... )

It finally took.  I'm pregnant!  I'm due at the end of February. 
Now I have 9  8 months to get my house organized. 

Emily Rose Duncan was born today at 1:44pm. She weighs 4lbs 12 oz and is 17 1/2 inches long. Her glucose levels were low so she was admitted to the NICU to try to get some more fluids into her and to get her glucose stable.
I'll post an actual birth story later, right now I'm really more interested in getting some more to eat and going to sleep.

Ya gotta love ice storms. Actually, the weather really isn't that bad, the roads really aren't that bad; the fact that ice is dropping power lines and trees is bad, and last I checked it was still raining, so if it gets below freezing again tonight things will continue to be fun.
