This is a joke right? Tyra surely wanted to poke fun at the YA genre and wrote this crap with her tongue firmly in cheek? Please tell me she did, otherwise I completely despair at the joke that her publishing house must be.

I don't think Tyra has a sense of humour. She seems to take the whole thing very seriously - she devoted 2 episodes on the last cycle of America's Next Top Model to filming a ridiculously OTT trailer (which someone posted further down the thread) for her book, & this cycle she's been trying to make everything about the book, like assigning the contestants each a 'superpower' from the book. She's so desperate to shoehorn in this plug for her book, she doesn't stop to think about whether they fit the models. But instead of accepting that when they inevitably don't fit into their roles, she goes on criticising & eliminating girls for not living up to this random characteristic she's foisted on them.
