I was curious about this book ever since seeing it (and all its glowing reviews) on Amazon, but I was cautious. At that point it was in hardcover and trade paperback forms, and both of those are too expensive for me (in general, and in a new genre). All the reviews said it was beautifully written and the best fantasy novel of the year and I thought "Well, maybe I can take a chance if all the reviews are so good" but at that point I was also getting sick of the fantasy genre so I decided to pass.
I'm not sure what I'll do now. Maybe I'll read some more reviews (and hopefully they aren't all "BUY THIS!" so I can see what's so good and what's so bad about it).
Alot of the reviews are good...which I don't understand, tbh. I know some people are going to love it but I am surprised at the amount of people who do..
Oh man, I really wanted to read this book and had it next on my to read list. Thanks for being honest. I may still decide to pick it up, but I won't waste money on it now that I've read your review.
