Haha! I remember reading this when I was in high school. The weird thing was I had friends called Michael and Katherine who were dating at the time - after I read the book, I couldn't look at them the same way again!

I've never actually read anything by Judy Blum as a tike, and it was exactly becase it gave me the impression of "I know I am within it's intended audience, but dear God in heaven and all the stupid people on Earth below him, these books look like insta-suck."
Unfortionately, I'm going to give two of her adult novels a whirl later this month (thanks to my pushy great aunt.) Wish me luck - in not hurting anyone.

I love Tiger Eyes extremely hardcore. That is her best work IMO. Forever= nnnnnnnnnot up to those standards. Apart from anything else it was just... wooden and soulless. Phoning it in like.
