Hello everyone! My name is Puri and I apparently have a hobby about ranting about books I hate. XD So here we go with this pyrite nugget:
Some of us remember Judy Blume, right? Some of us also remember that she is one of the top challenged and banned authors to this day. While I have to commend her for shining the light on issues such as masturbation and divorce, I can't say that it's executed well and often ends up ridiculously outdated and a waste of time.
Forever... by Judy Blume is no different. It stars Katherine as the narrator and chronicles her relationship with Michael and his little friend "Ralph." No, I'm serious. Here's a review I did of the book, complete with excerpts!
Is it fair enough that I dislike Judy Blume not for the "scandalous" subject matter that sends soccer moms into a frothing outrage but for the terrible writing of said subject matter? :/
What do you guys think of various Judy Blume books, such as Deenie, Blubber and Are You There God? It's Me Margaret?
