Done! Sorry, LJ wouldn't let me fix this earlier. ;)

"Describing a woman's vagina as a "gaping black maw sliced into the earth"" means you should probably not put your dick in it because it will fall of later. Vaginae are supposed to be pink.

(haha vaginae. I love you spell check.)

i read it a few years ago and really liked it, but i agree with you on a few points.

Hope and Kosar did wear thin. Hope wasn't explained enough for me to appreciate her.

i'm also tired of all fantasy books doing "boy/girl saves the world."

it was an abrupt ending, and it left me confused when i read the sequel, Dawn. DO NOT read Dawn. even if you had liked Dusk, Dawn was just awful.

Totally OT, but eugh, I wish more Half-Price Book stores existed in the world. THOSE STORES ARE ZOMGAWESOME AND I NEED ONE ON MY SIDE OF PENNSYLVANIA.

I mean, even if you didn't like it, it was probably cheap, right?!

I wish there were bookstores near my house, period. Ever since the B.Dalton bookstore closed in our ghetto mall, the nearest bookstore is literally half an hour away. D:

Awww, mine is about 15 minutes away, which isn't too bad, but I mostly buy online anymore anyway--haven't you ever traveled that half an hour only to find NOTHING that you really wanted?

I usually shop at amazon.com (you get free shipping on orders over $25!) and abebooks.com (which is a used site that offers books from many independent bookstores around the country/world). I don't know if you can or ever thought about buying online, but you might want to check it out. :)

What's cool about Half Price Books, though, is that I can find some weird things I wouldn't otherwise pick up or buy for an insanely cheap price. :(

I hear ya on the HPB. There is one in Chicago but I am 3 hours away from there. Pisses me off. They need to open more of those stores!
