The Dexter show and book series differ a lot once you get past book 1/season 1. That being said, I like Dexter's attitude more in the books, but Dexter in the Dark was just... weird. As in, if the next book isn't better, Dexter in the Dark will be the start of a series fail.

Nice to hear about Charles de Lint, I have a book of his kicking around that I've been meaning to read. And, while I didn't enjoy the televised version of Dexter so much, I did like what I read of the books, so hopefully you do too.

Yay, another Charles de Lint fan. And I am sure I will enjoy the books once I find them. I am broke and cannot buy books but the library doesn't have the first book. Or, I am just an idiot and cannot fine it.
