This is probably a bad idea, but it's a Friday and it's very quiet at work and I've still got subversive meta shojo on the brain, SO: give me a character that I know, and I'll write 2-3 sentences about their experiences in Ohtori Academy and/or their experiences in Gold Crown Town.

"I don't think there's as much need for concern as you think," Kyouya says, without looking up from his book. "And - oh, he's gone catatonic again."

"Hmmm?"

"I said, the throb of the engine -"

"Sorry - your car's really loud. Uh, thanks for the lift, but could you drop me home now? I really have to study."

Akio attempts not to look put out. "Of course," he says, "but first, to you, I will show . . . the ends of the -"

"- Mr. Chairman, please put your shirt back on."

Ty Lee in Gold Crown would be lulzy

The air is filled with rose petals and the approaching sound of drumbeats; the music of Carmen, lush and passionate, is nearly audible.

Actually, strike the drumbeats. Insert hoofbeats.

"Are you sure you don't want to get out of the way?" asks Ty Lee, doing an idle handspring on the back of the lead bull.

"Fairest of maidens! I cannot love you enough, and so I must be punished!" cries Femio, in an ecstasy of self-recrimination, and positions himself dramatically in front of the charging herd.

"Well, suit yourself, I guess," says Ty Lee cheerfully. His aura's a swirling reddish-pink, but not in a bad way, so she supposes there's got to be something he enjoys about it.

I now officially ship Femio/Ty Lee, even though their love is doomed to never work.

ahhhhhhh writing Scar in Ohtori was HARD ENOUGH. *laughing*

"Will you buy a gem? Pretty gems, to give to the one you love?" He doesn't notice the jewel-seller until she speaks - which, in and of itself, is not a thing that should happen. His eyes narrow instantly.

"I've no need for things like that," he says, his right arm ready at his side. Beside him, Marcoh slows, hooves clopping on the cobblestones.

But the woman holds out her hand anyway, and a small green-blue gem on a thin silver chain tumbles out to dangle from her fingers. "This is the gem called reconstruction," she says.

Unbidden, the image of the broken deserts of what used to be a living city flashes through his mind.

Reluctant: "What will it cost?"

"You carry the jewel called revenge," says Edel, and holds out her hand.

(So, uh, APPARENTLY I CAN'T WRITE CROSSOVER SCAR CRACKFIC. I'm sorry!)

Knives' hand slides down Scott's chest; the black rose ring glints on her finger.

"Not agai-" Scott manages, before he groans and falls over.

"Knives! Why are you doing this?" Utena shouts, as she hurls into her signature backflip to avoid the Sword of Sexually Awkward Friendship.

"I just want to be cool enough!" Knives shrieks. "I want to be a real grown up! And I don't want to kill Ramona because she's actually kind of cool, so I have to kill the Rose Bride if I ever want to be an adult!"

Utena stares at her as their swords clash. ". . . Knives, you're older than almost anyone in this school! You're actually older than Himemiya!"

"Not exactly," murmurs Anthy, but as Utena's sword slices through Knives' black rose just at this moment, no one is paying attention.

"It was great!" gushes Knives, eyes shining. "I really feel like I've gotten way more mature!" She turns to Young Neil, who is sulking in a corner. "Hey Neil, you should apply to study

"Absolute destiny apocalypse, Dubby, I've got it!" the Middleman exclaims, sitting straight up in the car. "This whole school's generating a perpetual motion machine generating a static timefield! It's diabolical!"

"That's great, boss -" Wendy ducks one of Touga's swipes, then jumps backwards over a car. "But unless it's going to actually affect this fight right now, an we maybe run it through again when I'm not in the middle of a lethal and extremely bizarre duel?"

"Of course, Dubby," says the Middleman politely, and leans back in the '57 red Corvette roadster as it makes another circuit round the duel arena.

Watching from beside the bells, Akio smiles. "My plan," he murmurs, "is sheer elegance in its simplicity."
