This is probably a bad idea, but it's a Friday and it's very quiet at work and I've still got subversive meta shojo on the brain, SO: give me a character that I know, and I'll write 2-3 sentences about their experiences in Ohtori Academy and/or their experiences in Gold Crown Town.
princess tutu,
fic,
memeage,
revolutionary girl utena

Duck laughs nervously next to him. Maybe recruiting Sokka to help her find Mytho hadn't been the best idea after all. "I don't really think it's that big a - I mean, maybe she's just - well, it's really not that big a deal, I mean there probably isn't really any such thing as Princess Tutu, hahahaha!"
Sokka whips out his magnifying glass and stares at her through it sternly. "We are going to solve this mystery scientifically," he informs her, and gets down to lay his ear against the ground. "Maybe some kind of trapdoor . . ."
"Wh-which mystery?"
"All of them!"
Duck quails.

Finally, finally, it's begun! The sealed light, the sorrowful Prince, the tale that could not be told until now: the Tale of the Rose!
Beware! Beware! She's here in the world somewhere -
"Who are we bewaring of, Isaac?"
"Why, it must be . . . the War of the Roses, of course! When Genghis Khan murdered the princes in the tower to become the prince of all Russia -"
"Oh, no! What a tragic tale!"
"Never fear, Miria my dear, it has a happy ending! Elizabeth the First defeated Genghis Khan, banished the Lancasters and the Plantagenets, and ruled in peace and prosperity!"
"A triumphant victory!"
"Long live Queen Elizabeth!"
"Excuse me," says Akio, unable to take it anymore, "but some of us are trying to watch the play."
Instead of a dark lord, you shall have a queen! Beautiful and terrible as the sea. Did you know, did you know? Did you know that?
C-ko! Stop going off-script!

"But I'm asking you," says Princess Tutu, with a smile that lights up her face, and draws Sophie to her feet.
("What feeling are you?"
"I am the feeling called obligation.")

Oh, Sophie. <3

Also, the one that came to mind for Bono is an Utena one, but if you want me to try a Tutu one I will, since I know you haven't seen all that much Utena.
"The power to revolutionize the world?" Bono looks at Touga, all pale skin and long red hair and lofty smile, and laughs in his face. "That fancy rose ring's just a collar," he says, "and none of you fools can see it."
And for you . . . give me Lewis in Gold Crown Town!

Lewis brings three dozen roses to the stage door. His idol smiles serenely, first at Lewis, and then at the man at her side. "They're lovely, don't you think, Paolo? My husband and I were just talking about..."
2. The Bridge of Riddles
"Why is it," Lewis says to no one in particular, "that she's always married, taken, in an open relationship that somehow manages to exclude me, or Sapphic?"
The dark river beneath the bridge doesn't answer. Actually, the dark river beneath the bridge is just about to answer, but someone else gets there first.
"This," says the puppet, opening her boxes for display, "is the gem of having no chance at all."

"No," he mutters, restless. This story is true and a lie at once, and such things are impossible; in the light of Itempas, truth and lies are never the same.
Gadzooks! You are . . .
The Rose Bride smiles at him, blank glasses covering blanker eyes, and he sees dead Enefa in her face.
