Wrote every single day, at least a hundred words a day-- I'm very proud of that.
Holy shit, dude, that's amazing. Congrats. All fiction, or a combination of genres?
plus I got to go see the San Francisco Public Library and go to Borderlands again.
♥ Two of my very, very favorite places in the city. Especially the main branch of the SFPL. It's magical, and I'm always thrilled when other people enjoy it too. :)
At home, with the worst cold known to man, lying on the couch watching Ken Burns documentaries and writing up this meme.
Oh hey, me too! Minus the Ken Burns. I've been listening to '60s music on Pandora and obsessively playing Plants vs. Zombies on breaks from trying to do my own version of the end-of-year meme.
Mostly fiction! Some of it was nonfiction essays, but mostly it was fiction. I am really, really proud of myself, ngl.
THE SFPL MAIN BRANCH IS SO AMAZING OMG. I walked in there and my eyes just went wide, ha. My dad and my stepmother and my stepbrother were with me but I'm pretty sure they gave up and went to wait at the entrance pretty early. XD But, I mean. The Gay and Lesbian Center! The children's library omg. The way the stacks are set up, those lovely little hidden study carrells, OMG SO AWESOME. SO SO AWESOME.
ugggh I KNOW. It was one of the first places I visited when I arrived in SF--I remember walking in and thinking, "Oh god, I'm going to fall in love with this city"--and I'm pretty sure I literally spent more time there than I did at home during the times when I lived within easy walking distance(!) The Hormel Gay & Lesbian Center, and the little cafe in the basement THAT CLOSED DURING THE TWO YEARS THAT I WAS AWAY, and how you could sit by the windows on the third floor and watch the sun set over City Hall, and just. I don't get there as much anymore, since I'm so far away from downtown, but it's one of my favorite places on earth (to the extent that I even wrote a Yelp review for it, back in the day, which I never do) and means so much to me. One of the things that most endears it to me: their Bookmobile participates in the Pride parade, followed by people carrying purple signs that read "Queerest. library. EVER." I just cannot. ♥I HAVE NOT BUT IT IS VERY VERY HIGH ON MY TO-READ LIST. Everyone and their sister keeps telling me I
