Girl Scouts = The stupidest group ever

I recieved my letter back from the Girl Scout council about my Gold Award Project. It was for the removal of the band trophies. If you havn't notied the bare walls in the room. This is what they said:

Thank you for your recent submission of you Initial Project Plan for the Gold Award. The Gold Award Panel met on 6/8/2006 and took the follow action

actually, i understand. i know with eagle scouts, the way it works is you are usually supposed to build something, or clean up something, and generally it gets you APES service hours. moving trophies IS helpful, but it's not the same thing. maybe if you'd made cases for them or something, they might see that better. but in general, helping a band program... not what they're looking for.

i'd kind of like to know why you did it without knowing they'd approved it yet.

I did it because I was planning on doing it, whether they approved it or not. I wasn't doing it for them. I was doing it for the band. The Gold Award would have just been an added bonus.
I know it's not what they're looking for, and that's stupid. Their idea of a good idea for this is making a butterfly garden. Yay! Pretty to look at, but not very practical. Ok? I'm doing something that means a lot to me, and I think that's more than they'll ever get.

Thanks for you're advice, though. I'll think about it. I just need to think things through before I send them anything.

this is why Boy Scouts is better than Girl Scouts. And why band is better than any sort of scouts.
