my home meth lab

Oct 02, 2005 10:34

i often joke about the number of over the counter drugs in our house and that i should start my own crystal meth lab to fund school. i am, of course, kidding. but due to my dust allergies and frequent common colds, i have a lot of various brands of cold remedies including tylenol night and day cold, sudafed extra strength decongestant, sudafed ( Read more... )

considering my performances in high school chemistry (soap that could burn your skin off), i will not actually be attempting a crystal meth lab. forget the legalities and moral issues of it all, my crystal meth would kill someone tout de suite and then i'd have way bigger issues than production and trafficing of drugs to deal with. too bad, because it has been determined that 120mg of pseudoephedrine is just way too much for anyone in my household and could be put to use in a batch of crystal meth.

I just got over Dat Cold myself. I have the same freakish immune system your husband has (my whole family has it - my brother had mono once...for about 1.5 WEEKS), so it was a blessedly short three days of discomfort, but the 13-hr bus ride to kamloops was full of a number of coughy miserable people. I hope it's a less cranky bus coming back...

I hope that you're both feeling better!

i have the worst immune system EVER. we usually balance out nicely - he's never sick, i'm always sick. so having him sick is weird. and my damn cold is lingering on, despite my increased veggies and oj and vitamins.

Sounds like human_loser and myself.

Apparently some people's immune systems never recover from mono. I'm in that category--though I have gotten better over the past few years. In the 2 yrs after I had mono in grade ten, I came down with harcore sinusitus TWICE, and a few spates each of strep, tonsilitis and a one nasty chronic hacking cough. (When late-ninties high school kids are using the word "Consumption" around you, you know it's bad.)

Now it's (happily) been reduced to being knocked on my ass whenever I get a cold or flu. Wheeeee!

A spoonful of honey (or two) after the dose of Buckley's is good.

date squares? while tasty, they don't hold a candle to an evening on crystal meth! (okay, i'm assuming this is true). (in the end, i made brannies, not crystal meth).

(brannies are bastardized brownies. they are weight watchers approved as they are made with a ton of all bran. they taste like chocolate bran muffins).

I don't know how I feel about chocolate and bran married in recipes. Bring me a baker's dozen - I will let you know.

The Cold/Flu or Fold/Clue as I like to call it has spread to PEI. Everyone at work is sick, and the brother has been out of it for going on a week now. I'm doping up on vitamins and echinachia hoping I don't get it.

*Hugs* to you guys -- feel better soon!

oooh, try that cold f/x stuff while you're still healthy. i think its what we told your mom to take before your wedding. it's supposed to be a miracle worker and better than plain old echinacia. sadly, i dont' think it works once you are sick. yay for lingering colds (it's been a week).

I gave my supply to David and, backing up your theory, he said it was "Crap." But he was already sick. Damn, my meds were wasted on the ill and frail!!

David has more than a cold though so maybe that's why it hasn't worked too. He's had fever, vomitting, a hacking cough, earache....you name it, he's had it. I've been keeping my distance like the loveable sister I am!
