So... I now have "TinyVox Pro" which was a free app for a bit. It lets me record a MP3 file of up to around 30 minutes that I can share in various ways. As such... I'm thinking of making some audio journals from it. Maybe even a small podcast. Just an FYI.

Some people say a tablet will never replace a PC. Yes, Macs are PCs, so don't act stupid.
