I have my new laptop now! So far I am well pleased (it's so small! And light! And hinged!), and while there are some issues to work out regarding the interactions of the wireless card with our palsied beast of a home network, I'm rather looking forward to the challenge. Great. Now I'm craving sweet, creamy hazelnut integration by parts. I wish all my exam notes were inscribed on chocolate. Just a boxful of truffles makes the financial economics go down...

My shiny new laptop is a light-weight, no-frills number courtesy of Linux Certified, who take the initial seething frustration out of a Linux installation by popping your distro of choice on there for you and promising that it works with all the components. So far, everyone is getting along very nicely, and I have employed the command line to set up my favorite aliases and to explain to the touchpad how I like things to be done. Now I turn a critical eye to this "Trash" thing. Trash is for vacillators.
