This is the last week of summer classes, which means I'll soon have students coming in either to cheer about their exit scores or to curse the name of algebra. Then I get a break. I plan to spend it not teaching anyone how to factor polynomials ( Read more... )

I have this week and then finals week (since I am, technically, taking a class, and people still want help that week), and then I am FREE to make visiting plans. I can definitely be there for your shindig on the 11th just so long as I can arrange transportation to Athens. :)

As for leaving, well... Financial aid completely fell through for me because of my Japanese tax situation, and I can't even get enough loan money to cover tuition without resorting to outside creditors who charge crazy, immediately accruing interest. Right now, the best I can do is mail off the form deferring my enrollment and try again in spring semester, when I can file a new FAFSA and get the grant money that I need. But unless something magical happens in the financial aid office between now and September, my butt is parked in Georgia for the fall. Sigh.
