I can't get new Harry Potter goodness until I'm back in the States, unless I can somehow snag a copy in Tokyo or at the airport. Woe. Everyone, read a page of your copy aloud for me, and I will hear it in my heart.

I have company in town, so I was nice and went without my midnight book run. She'll be gone Monday night and back Tuesday night, so I may just inhale it in one long evening.

Surfing without going to sites likely to have spoilers is hard and unfun.

It worries me how quickly my brain had Hermione magically sprouting boy bits and becoming the youngest DADA teacher in Hogwarts history. Clearly I have been infected by fandom.

I'm hoping to pick up a copy in Tokyo to read on the plane, but who am I kidding with this "patience" thing? I would NOT need a copy NOT emailed to me at all. :)

Okay, I've started, so I've been able to figure out if one of my answers was correct or not.

I think that Voldemort / Unknown character is the Half-Blood Prince, Malfoy / Snape is going to die, and the new DADA teacher will be EVIL. I don't care about JournalFen.

Yeah, I know, Voldemort was behind the Chamber of Secrets already, how many things can he have his hand in? Answer: One more. That, or it's a new character we haven't met yet.

Malfoy / Snape will die. Why? Two good reasons: (1) Harry has a big enough enemy to concentrate on in the last book, and (2) I want to see them die.

Of course the new DADA teacher will be evil. Probably more evil than Umbridge, in fact, but with less power.

Okay, back to the book!
