Yesterday, I wrote a few words, and also did something that I almost never do: edit a story that is in progress.  I did this mostly because I came back to it after a week, and reread the beginning to see what the thing was about, and I realized I hated at least one paragraph in there.  So I pared it down before adding a few more words

Also useful are "shame" and "terror".

Yes on shame - I don't have a large enough readership for "terror" to be in the lexicon yet. Although it only takes one unbalanced reader with a sharp axe...
