You get bahleted for having a real surname and talking about fairy bread???
Have you tried contacting them? Just to find out the reason? Because if it's due to your surname then it would be beyond hilarious and I'd love to see THAT apology!
Yeah I contacted them back about it as soon as I found out this morning, so its been about seven-ish hours and I've not yet heard back. Trust me I will SO let you know what the resolution is xD
I'd honestly go "eh whatever" if it wasn't a much easier way to organise get-togethers and even just catch up with certain people. I'm also genuinely interested in their reason since if it IS either of those, oh man they're SO in the wrong xD
I bet it was your surname. ): Which is sad because it really is your real name! (Though I have to admit, I asked Katu-chan rathe than taking it f'realz).
Anyway to prove that it's your real name without hassle?
They already have proof that its my real name I believe, since I did that 'confirmation of identity' thing they wanted everyone to do last year or the year before. Facebook failure for sure xD
Its been over 24 hours and they've not gotten back to me and they never actually sent me a message explaining that they were deleting it - I only found out because they emailed me saying that one of the apps I run for work had been 'disabled as a precaution.'
Aw, that's crazy! I hope they get back to you and at least clarify why they deleted you.
Also: Fairy Bread may be totally commonplace/intuitive for you, but it's mystifying to those of us who don't have it as part of our culture! Heck, the first few times I came across the term, I kept thinking a word must have been left out of the recipe ("Hundreds and thousands? Hundreds and thousands of WHAT?"). :)
LOL I am wondering why they didn't email me with a reason to begin with, tbh. The only reason I found out was that I got an auto-generated email saying that one of the apps I run for work had been 'disabled as a precaution.'
I agree with you on the fairy bread - its one of the reasons why I cited it as what I figured the ban was for - BUT! The actual guy asking is Aussie born and bred, has definitely eaten Fairy Bread a zillion times in his life and has a small child whom also has eaten/would be eating it a lot at other kids parties. xD
