Wow... I have no problem with this being neither of the first things I asked for! It is Sayid to a T, and it is extremely well-written! He needed some attention, so I'm most pleased to see this! Thank you so much! ;-)

Oh, thank you - I'm glad you liked it!

Sayid seems to be a fairly popular character, and yet he gets so little fic. I suppose people just find him hard to write.

I think you may be right. I'm never sure if I've done him justice, although zelda_zee has a wonderful Sayid voice. It's a pity more don't give him a shot though!

Agreed on zelda_zee and Sayid. Perhaps it should be her fannish duty to do a tutorial on writing Sayid - except that she already fulfilled that obligation by hosting the discussion on him at thequillstation. :)

Oh, nicely done!
a tear on his conscience
he chooses to ignore
and
A guilty man makes the best judge
Powerful. And so perfectly Sayid.

Thank you so much!

I’m hesitant to say I had fun writing this, considering the subject matter, but "poetry" is certainly one of the most interesting Luau requests so far.

It’s not the same, no shame now to shatter him. Interesting observation, that the reason for killing makes a difference, that some acts are more justified than others. Nicely done!

I’m not sure if I personally believe that, but I think Sayid does.
