Went with Froggy to the library today. At the Roald Dahl expo Quentin Blake gave a presentation en français and he and Mrs Dahl, who was in the audience, fielded questions. Quite enjoyable

it was quite cool! Froggy and I were just laughing about dodgy online translators the other day. He had received a joke of sorts on the literal translation of a text about a saint from English to French. The phrase hung, drawn and quartered is actually really funny when taken directly into French: accroché (hung like a picture on a wall), dessiné (drawn as in sketched) et haché (chopped to bits with an axe). I'll probably end up translating it myself lest dodgy online translators make a pig's ear out of it. *hugs*
