I hate rushing around to get things done, but I'm glad it all worked out. I'm also glad you survived the vampire attack.

I agree, rushing around is definitely not my preferred modus operandi but sometimes it seems it's the only way to squeeze everything in.
Despite my attempts to take life one sip at a time I still find myself in positions where gulping is the only way forward. Beware of indigestion!

loads and loads and loads of sympathy. they can't get my veins either and although I am normally fairly calm and brave, I sobbed when they started digging around after the 3rd stick. truly, there has to be a better way!

And I am sending you giant good vibes for happy scan results!

Your good vibes came through! The scan results were very good! Surgery is set for 12 March. (full account tomorrow) The countdown begins!

Gah! I fear people with veins like that... I have this fear of needles in other people; needles in me is fine, but I hate the idea that I could be hurting someone who really hates needles to start with. Oh yes, I shall be a wonderful doctor (hah).

Sorry it was so stressful... At least it's over and there was lemon meringue pie, always a good start.

I understand. I apologised for my veins. I know it wasn't the staff's fault.

I'll have another scan before the op but I will have that one done at my usual hospital in conjunction with a chemo treatment.

I think all bad experiences should be improved with a slice of something nice.
