I'm not looking forward to taking everything down - maybe we'll do it bit by bit. I'll have to come up with a way to ease back into normality. "Think, think, think..." *hugs*
It's the fairy lights that I'm mainly attached to - the one's we put up in the dining room. Froggy turns them on in the morning while we have our breakfast and they provide a magical atmosphere against the darkness of the early hours. I know they'll have to come down but it's not going to be easy. I think I'll bargain with Froggy bit by bit: first the tree, then the garland in the living room, and then... *hugs*
Theoretically, you shouldn’t have to take them down at all. I’ve got white fairy lights on an open book case/shelf unit I have wrapped all around (or was when they were alive) the plants. I run them on a timer so that I never have to come home to a dark house. I love them an refuse to give them up. Besides, everyone has always said they liked them.
Um, mostly I just popped by to see how you are doing. Pen kept me up to date in the States (which is a third world country in regards to telecommunications) because I had Inet troubles. I’m glad to hear that you are doing better since your op. When I left, you were still hiding under the duvet and cleaning out cellars looked like it was a long way away.
You keep taking care of yourself and please say hi to Froggs for me, ok?
Great to see you Canute! We saw a few pics from your US trip on Mag's LJ and boy were we jealous *huge grin*. I am delighted to be doing much better - still can't really lift things but that's ok. I agree with you on the fairy lights. I'm seriously contemplating leaving them up. They're so light-hearted. I think the holly garland in the living room will be coming down and I'm sure we'll put the tree away too. I still have a snowbear on the front door with a giant bow and bells. I'm sure that the neighbours already think I'm a bit strange so I suppose that will stay at least for now. Lately I've gone through our bookshelves and removed over 40 books that we're going to give to a good home. I've gotten back into cooking and I'm happily playing around on my own fun website. Oh and I'm reading With No One as Witness by Elizabeth George. It's a bit dark but I've always got time for a good murder mystery

It's always hard when you take the Xmas decorations down! I took them down yesterday and the atmosphere in the house was weird!
I'm glad all is well for you!
