It’s been a long time since I’ve written. I think this last year was a bit of a blur and even when I sit to let everything sink in, it’s just too much. But today I feel it calling. This weekend I remain permanently slouched in front of a fireplace while I housesit for my parents. I am content, watching the crackling wood as the flames and heat engulf its grain.
