This week at work has been damn tiring, so I hadn't even turned on my computer for more than five minutes at a time - plus I've been going to bed around ten every evening

Welcome to the bandwagon. XD XD XD Heroes had me from the commercials, actually. And as a die-hard sci-fi geek, this show was so much more interesting and refreshing than say, LOST, which lost me from the start. (Too contrived, too clever for itself, etc.) But Heroes is just good, clean Saturday matinee popcorn munchin' fun!
May I also recommend Jericho? That's the only other show that debuted last Fall that I really like.
*makes self comfortable* The only reason I know of this show's existence is because I'd seen people gushing about it... completely deserved, in my opinion. And while I'm more of a die-hard fantasy geek, the sci-fi geek in me isn't far behind. ♥ That's why I was very happy Dutch television finally decided to start airing Supernatural a couple of months ago, even if it was at eleven thirty at night. Lots of people were bummed when they took it down after four episodes. >/ "Bad ratings", my ass. If you air it in the middle of the night and never even bother to announce the fact that you are airing it with more than one single commercial the week before (also in the middle of the night!), I'm not surprised it doesn't get the same amount of viewers as a nine o'clock show. *end rant* :D;
Skeet Ulrich is way hot and I like the idea of a technology blackout, which in my opinion, is closer to what really could happen in smaller towns across the US.
Technology blackouts remind me of Dark Angel. Only they had the gene manipulation stuff going on, and I'm not even sure if it was a blackout or something of a spike that... deleted... uhm.
Jericho definitely looks interesting, though. And you can even watch entire episodes online! *makes a mental note to check it out after watching Heroes*
PS: Apparently the subs for episode 2 of Ningen Shikakku have been delayed a bit - but people are working on it! :D
