I've been negligent in posting stuff, and the reason is because of my job. We've been short staffed, which has meant me spending an aggravating amount of time staffing the career center. I seldom write stuff for this blog when I'm at home, which I could blame on the fact that my nineteen month old little girl takes up a lot of my time at home, but

The Reluctant Grownup over here uses wordpress, and I like it. Blogspot is also good.

I like the way your blog looks, I was thinking about using WordPress. What I'm considering doing, since November is coming up (even though last year I told myself I wouldn't do this again)is do a roll out of the new blog in November with a post every day, in the spirit of whatever that is where you do a post every day for the month of November.

So we can kick off the new blog with a series of mundane, content-free entries that I, for the most part, didn't feel like writing. On second thought, maybe that's not such a swell idea after all....

Oh, yeah, definitely! I hope anyone who reads this will continue to read and comment on my stuff, wherever I happen to land.

Lj used to be great, when everyone was on it and actively writing stuff. It was like the Todd Street of blogging! But now everyone's pretty much jumped ship, and without the interactive aspect of it, it's just another blogging site, and less attractive then most of the others. Plus I think a new site will re-energize me. I've gotten really lazy over here.

Wordpress has an import function from Livejournal. So it's not hard to get it all over. You might have to re-mark them all as private which takes some time though.

Dude, that is awesome news! That's really been the only thing that's made me reluctant to migrate elsewhere. I'll head over there and start scoping it out!
