I don't know how you feel about Rohr's use of theories of spiritual levels but it always makes me itch! That is, I think he's at his worst when he writes that way.

Oh, but Rohr says that knowing about the stages makes us more compassionate [to those poor benighted souls who lack our enlightenment]!

Grrrr.

I am with you-- there are things one can say of one's own path that are revolting nonsense when said of definite or indefinite others.

And given a set of labels, it is hard not to apply them somewhere
