'I'm the map guy.'

I’m not sure if there’s much widespread curiosity for this kind of thing, but I find maps absolutely fascinating. I think the map they have on the DVD field guide is disappointing. Therefore, I decided to compile my own map collection. Some of this came from a lazy search of the internet. Other bits and pieces are scanned in from books I own. (Do ( Read more... )

Yes, please continue to do this for the rest of the rewatch. I really appreciate your maps/pictures of Toccoa and Mackall because I can use them as further reference for the training chapters in my book.

Thanks! I really wish I could have found a better map of the layout of Toccoa, but oh well. :D

This is awesome. I like having that extra layer of technical knowledge, and it's handy to have some sense of where everything is, geographically.

This are amazing! I'd love it if you kept doing this. They're fascinating, and a brilliant resource for fic-writing (said the lazy writer).

I'm a little in love with you now ^^

Btw my grandma' was in Tivoli during the war. She is born in Rome, but during Allies' bombarding of the city (where she lost her father), she was send to her family in the country-side.
She was really young (class '38) but she remember the large number of trooper in the zone.

Ok, now I'm going to finish DoD now è_é/

*blushes* Thank you! :D

Wow. It's so interesting to hear the stories of people who actual went through it... especially civilians. That must have been such a scary, unsettling time for your grandma. If I recall correctly, the only person in my family involved in the war was my granddad. He worked with planes, I believe.
