Here's a documentary detailing the life of Nucky Johnson, Steve Buscemi's character in Boardwalk Empire.

Does anyone know if Republican policies were more liberal in 1920? I don't want to start arguing on politics, but nowadays Republicans tend to frown on sex out of marriage and I'm not sure if it's true but I read somewhere that most Republicans were against women voting. I recently finished marathoning the first five episodes. I wrote two meta posts, one on the show in general and the psychology of Margaret and Nucky's relationship in particular, and another about Nucky's position as the boss of a "political machine." Both posts contain SPOILERS for all five eps.
