[Renais's had more than a few things to mull over during the group's travels, and it's during a rest stop that she finally speaks up on the issue. Especially back at that mansion... just who was really to blame there

No doubt that would be the case. But since Cosmos is so hands-off with how we go about our duty, it seems that sooner or later we're going to end up at a point where our methods will clash.
Even at the mansion... the people we were fighting weren't evil, only misguided. At least in my eyes.
As someone who spent much of her life as a barbarian, I can say that death is a part of life and many times it's a case of kill-or-be-killed. Sometimes even if it's not the moral choice, it's the right one.
... But at the same time, Empire's blacksmiths had a very particular habit that they would when crafting weapons to be used during state executions. On the executors' blades, the phrase "Cast in the name of Marda, wielded by an innocent's hands."
Well I have no problems letting people live or die by my own hands. If it's someone I am hired to kill then I would kill them usually. Of course I can chooses who lives and who dies just like the rest of you, but I am not monster just a man making a living.
I want to say that it won't happen, but I don't think we'll be that lucky. So... maybe we can take reasons, and the best reason that lots of people can agree with wins? [The look on her face says she knows it likely won't pass, but... she has to try.]
Well... it makes the most sense, doesn't it? It's either that, or let someone dictate what we do. And that can get us into trouble. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, though.
The real problem, though... what if we have to? What if we have to hurt someone? I understand that we have to protect ourselves, but... it's hard to figure out what to do then.
If we have to, we have to. I'm talking more about the gray area where we will have multiple solutions to the same problem, and not everyone wants to agree on just one.
(Gamma looks at Renais before leaning against a tree and sighing. He has a thoughtful look on his face.)
An interesting question. I wouldn't know. I have never been part of a large group that wasn't focused on killing others. I suppose it depends on the situation though.
I used to be. I was trained at a young age to kill. You could say I was a child protege in that sense. I'm not working as a killer anymore...but I likely have more blood on my hands than anyone else here.

Mokona think taking life last-resort option. Only should be done if no other option to protect one's friends and self.

Do you know what that phrase stands for?

... Nevertheless, you are one of the members of this group I'm less worried about. As you said yourself, you are a man trying to make a living.

... Admittedly such a thing has its own merits, but it also has its flaws. Though it would at least be a step in the right direction.
