Hyo graduated with honors from college on Friday.  Seriously.  He did it.  Three year ago he was living on the streets of Dallas, just another apparently hopeless lost soul.  But he got his act straight, cleaned up, and came back with  a bang.  He got a BFA and won the faculty student achievement award.

Sorry to everyone that I've been out of touch.  Long story short - I had an outpatient proceedure done, but I got an infection and ended up in the hospital on IV antiobiotics for a rather long time.

I just gave up trying to watch this - I'm not even sure the word "movie" should apply.  It's someone with a bunch of Barbie and Ken and GI Joe dolls gone quite mad.  Even the dulcet tones of Himself can't save this one.  Or even get me to watch another minute of it.

Goodness - it's been a month since my last post.

My knitting group is going great guns.  One more dropped out, but the remaining folks seem to be in it for the long haul. I just got back from a short visit to my kid, who now lives in New England.  I had never been there before because it's not easy to get from Tennessee to there.  Everything I had heard about how beautiful it was in the fall is true.  The leaves are starting to turn, the maple trees are bright red in the higher elevations and were just stunningly ( Read more... )
