Steve looked up from his desk to see Danny on the phone. Only seconds after hanging up, he walked over to Steve and looked him directly in the eye.

“I have to go!”

Before Steve had time to process what was happening, Danny was out of the office, leaving him to stare after him in confusion.

yeah, I agree with you, but I thought for this for a while now... I thought about "What would Danny do if something would happen to Grace?", becaues I think, Grace is his "weak point"... kind of... Steve doesn't have something like that... Steve's "weak point" would in my opinion be Danny... or Mary... so if something would happen to any of them, he would need "someone" too... but yes... :-)
