Probably as well cats can't talk. I'm not sure your mum really wants to know what the cat was up to - she'd probably feel like she ought to apologise. (Speaking as someone whose cat used to steal the neighbour's goldfish and we'd have to get our son to return them!)

I definitely buy the wreath - it's lovely.

I'm sure Tyke went on an adventure, and it must have been some adventure to be gone a whole month. Mum would still love to hear about it even if it involved dead goldfish ;)
