Just found out what the missing topic was from the list:
Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Hmm... This one's harder for me, because if I don't like a show, then I tend to just kind of forget about it. My brain having limited space would much rather be filled up with the things I like, rather than the things I didn't like.
That being said, I was not a fan of most of season 6 or 7 of Buffy. One episode that I remember being particularly annoying was one in season 6 where Willow is addicted to magic. After screwing up to the point that she hurts a friend, she's crying, looking rather pathetic, and saying something like, "Please, Buffy. I need help." It was unforgivably cheesy, and had the kind of heavy handed message of most anti-drugs commercials. ("See, kids, don't do drugs or you'll end up like Willow.") It's all well and good to have a message, or to infuse a story with meaning, but this took it to a level that really turned me off.
An now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving
Sanctuary. When I first saw the previews, I was not impressed. I thought to myself, Oh, gee, another cheesy show about people going around fighting against the things that go bump in the night. (I also didn't immediately buy Amanda Tapping, i.e., Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1, as a brunette with a British accent, though I have to hang my head in shame on the accent thing, because she was born in Rochford, England. Whoops.)
But as the end of season 2 rounded up, I saw the preview which included the phrase, "...and the only one who can save them is fighting for his life." Due to my odd love of melodrama, I watched it. And then because it was a damn cliffhanger and I would have to wait all summer to see how it ended, I went back to season 1 from the beginning.
Rather than hunting the things that go bump in the night, the characters protect them, giving them sanctuary when they can. It was a pleasant surprise, and while it is fairly cheesy at time, the writing is often fun and clever. There's a fascinating approach to the concept of evil in this show. Even the most vicious and/or dangerous characters can potentially be redeemed (jack the Ripper ends up as an ally, for example).
I have a lot more thoughts on Sanctuary, which I've been meaning to post about but haven't got around to. In the meantime, I'm eagerly awaiting season 3.
Day 11 - A show that disappointed you
I don't get disappointed easily, and when I do, it's usually really, really bad. Dinotopia comes to mind, though I wasn't looking forward to that one, so I couldn't have been disappointed by it. I can think of plenty of movies that have disappointed me, but not shows. I honestly can't think of one, so I'll just leave it at that.
