I have to go to my good-bye breakfast and make a little speech in about 1 minute and, stupidly enough, this has me insanely nervous.

I just accidentally clicked on "iCal" and had apparently set the following reminder for myself:

"June 18: Last day at Lippincott."

You know, I guess I wanted to be extra sure I wasn't going to forget that.

Jenn (my best girl) and her new boyfriend have yet to show up, and instead of using this time to make any real dent in packing up my life, I've been listening to every "free download" that has been posted on salon.com for the past however long, whatever, I don't know. I am sitting cross-legged in my chair, eating strawberries and drinking an enormous cup of iced coffee, and there is apparently a diseased rodent running around the office.

Obviously, the strawberries represent art, the coffee represents Corporate America, and the diseased rodent represents ludicrous allegories.

The weekend had been jam-packed with ridiculously fun fun and ludicrously stimulating conversations, and Steve and I needed to decompress.
