For me, this one is a five out of five :-) It was the first of his stories I ever read and it might have something to do with that.

My opinion basically I think is that this is a simpler story, and not as sophisticated or original as some of the others.

I could probably go up to 4.0 I'd think, depending on the day.

My thinking was that the atmosphere was beautiful and the worldbuilding deliciously baroque. And convincingly baroque, not like some of these people who throw a layer of steampunk or whaterver in an effort to be edgy. That boat has sailed.
