Thanks Bob, I will check out your tag, add a few of those minor series in then.

The del Rey - Dozois thing I had mentioned, but it is only 1 line, given I have never come across one (or bothered trying to buy old ones).

Lester Del Rey to Gardner Dozois (1-10) (1972-1981)

oops, sorry I missed it. (One might think I'd have better reading comprehension by now....)

Yeah, well it maybe got a bit longer than brief I guess. :) Possibly another only in US series, so would never have shown up here, in general.

I am pretty sure I have all the YB series, SF and Fantasy, in a file or three now.

"It is also a free ebook if you subscribe to Jim Baen's Universe, too. A fine deal, that.

People probably miscategorise Baen as 'just that right wing military SF stuff', and it is certainly true that they do a lot of that, and make money at it. However, they also have a keen interest in SF history, as shown by this volume, and them republishing Cordwainer Smith, A. Bertram Chandler, and their rediscovery projects like James H. Schmitz. Lots of fine work there, plus a reasonable number of anthologies. Not to mention JBU itself.

I wouldn't sneer at other publishers just because they make lots of money from crappy big fat overextended fantasy series, or sex with vampire lines, or producing multiple pastoral feminist utopias, or whatever"

I just loved this comment. Can I quote it - with reference back to this on my blog?
There are also 2 BEST OF JBU 2006 and 2007 - not sure if the second is out yet

Sure, feel free.

The magazine section was just to list a few examples. They are planning an annual anthology best of the mag at the moment? That is cool if they are.
