Thanks Bob, I will check out your tag, add a few of those minor series in then.

The del Rey - Dozois thing I had mentioned, but it is only 1 line, given I have never come across one (or bothered trying to buy old ones).

Lester Del Rey to Gardner Dozois (1-10) (1972-1981)

oops, sorry I missed it. (One might think I'd have better reading comprehension by now....)

Yeah, well it maybe got a bit longer than brief I guess. :) Possibly another only in US series, so would never have shown up here, in general.

I am pretty sure I have all the YB series, SF and Fantasy, in a file or three now.

New Writings in SF is one I have maybe forgotten, too, that went for a while - never saw one myself, but know that some locals did get published in this.

For a while in the '60s, "New Writings" had an American edition, which I picked up; but I never systematically finished the run. (Off the top of my head, it runs at least to #24, and maybe past #30.) I see occasional Canadian copies of the higher numbers.

Oh, and another thought:
under "Theme" anthologies", it's probably worth a mention of the "theme-of-the-month" books that DAW has been putting out since the mid-'90s. Counting the MZBradley Sword &Sorceress series, there are now nearly 200 of them. (See my tag "DAW anthology").

Yeah, you are right. DAW are certainly noteworthy for that, so being dedicated to putting these out.
