Thank you! ~squish~ I actually had sort of a relapse after I posted this, but a hot shower and sinus mask seem to have finally made the difference. Now I actually feel good. ~whew~ Thanks goodness, because I have a lot to do today... including more snow shoveling. Oy.

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. And yes, she totally has his number. I imagine that after that many years together, she'd have a pretty good idea about how to handle him. ;-)

Thank you! And hee, yes, Severus is definitely the pot calling the kettle black here. I think it says a lot about how he felt about his original relationship with Hermione. ;-)

"A fully-grown wizard who has made nothing but mistakes in his life has no right to court any witch-especially not one so young, so intelligent, so generous and prone to forgive even the worst of flaws…"

So Severus sees himself in Teddy then. ;-)

This is lovely and so spot-on. I can see that Severus would be extremely protective of his daughter and that Hermione would need to work on getting him to lighten up a bit.

Just a wee bit, yes. *g*

Thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed this. I think that, especially given the life he's had, Severus would be inclined to be overprotective--not always a bad thing, though, because he knows better than most that there are real reasons to be afraid. But thankfully Hermione can moderate his influence.

*grin* Oh yes, I can see him as protective a father as I see him possessive a lover! eee!

~nods~ You know, that's a good point, and I think the two behaviors are related. He knows what bad things can happen, and with a history of losing the people he loves, would it be any wonder that he'd be vigilant about protecting them?
